Symbios Solutions represents Symbios Consulting’s recent expansion into North America. Shereen Mosallam––director of Symbios Consulting’s operations in the Arab Gulf, the Middle East and North Africa––and Bassem Hussein spearheaded this newest venture in late 2017. By January 2018, they established Symbios Solution’s headquarters in the heart of a growing innovation hub in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Today, Symbios Solutions’ focus is on unifying Six Sigma, Lean & Optimization with Industry 4.0 and Digitalization.
Technology is getting smarter exponentially. Smart technology is becoming increasingly obsolete. “Intelligent” and “genius technology” are swiftly replacing their predecessors. This is where Symbios Solutions can help.

Aly Mageed was born and grew up in Alexandria, Egypt where he also attended the University of Alexandria Medical School and received an MBBCh degree followed by a Master in Pediatrics and later an MD degree. He then moved to the US where he did his residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. There; he met his wife Debbie and together, they had 2 children Adam and Sarah. Adam is attending the University of Michigan School of Law. Sarah is an undergraduate at the University of Michigan as well where she aspires to attend its Medical School next year.
Aly Mageed is currently a practicing physician at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital of Spectrum Health at Grand Rapids, MI where he is a specialist and heads the division of Pediatric Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant. He also received an MBA degree from Western Michigan University.
The Mageeds enjoy traveling and connecting with people from different backgrounds and are actively engaged in many interfaith activities in West Michigan where Aly is a frequent contributor to the “Ethics and Religion” Columns in the local Press.
Shereen Mosallam seats on the Advisory Board of the Operational Excellence Society, a grass-roots organization that is a platform designed for executives and practitioner in the disciplines of Business Process Improvement (BPI), Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Six Sigma. She also currently serves as the General Manager of Symbios Consulting. Shereen is a highly experienced Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, CPF, Qualified SCOR instructor and a 20 keys consultant. Shereen’s career has started in automotive industry with General Motors and span from education to the management consulting industry. Shereen is skilled in DMAIC, Operational Excellence, Supply Chain Digitalization, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Deployment, Strategy Deployment, and Manufacturing Operations. She has a MBA focused on Business Administration, Management and Operations from The Americana University in Cairo.
An outgoing individual with a wide range of experience in business development, commercial training, consulting, sales, marketing, lean and optimization. His hard work has promoted success for a group ranked highest in national sales volume. Bassem is passionate about meeting new people and helping them unlock their potential. Bassem sports a tremendous track record of exceeding targets, surpassing partners’ satisfaction, and creating loyal customer bases.
